Top ten really random things my 14-month-old is obsessed with

1. The remote control – Forget Playskool, Fisher Price, and Mattel. Comcast is the company that really has their finger on the pulse of what toddlers want: buttons!

2. The DVD player – In…and out…and in…and out…

3. Acorns - He just discovered these today, and boy are they exciting. After all, they’re the perfect size to potentially choke on.

4. The hair dryer – When he gets into the master bathroom, he makes a beeline for the cabinet under his daddy’s sink and pulls it out. It’s strangely much less popular if I try to dry his hair with it.

5. My make-up case – This is the next item to pull out when the hairdryer loses appeal. Fortunately he hasn’t figured out how to open it. Yet.

6. Clangy dresser drawer pulls – Clang! Clang! Clang!

7. Baby wipes – These are best examined one. At. A. Time.

8. Grown-up shoe laces – Hubby swears the kid is going to start tying them together one day.

9. PIN pads at cash registers – I don’t even want to think about how many people have touched them and how germy they must be. But I just did.

10. The Daily Double sound effect on Jeopardy! - Look out, Ken Jennings…you have competition as soon as he learns how to talk.

What a great post!! My 2.5 year old is currently obsessed with traffic lights and fire trucks – that's all she talks about!

And ew! about the grocery store pin pad. I never thought of that and i let her touch it all the time. No more! Ew.

SO TRUE!! I am right there with you on the wipes, acorns, DVD player, remote and everything else! My boys are 2 and 4, so unfortunately it doesn't stop for a while! The 2 year old is the one who is leading his big brother into trouble, though. He just starts in with his newest find (aka thing to tear up) and goes from there! Oh my…
    Love your list!

So funny! My toddler was obsessed with the DVD player too, both of them (hint hint!) Super fun top ten list!
